• Become a member of DFPR and volunteer time
• Make donations of food or supplies

Most importantly, helping us reduce the number of cats in need of rescue is the biggest help of all. Each year millions of animals are left needing homes and many will never get that home. Spaying or neutering your pet can help reduce the number of abandoned pets in need of rescue.

Other ways of helping all rescue efforts:

• Always provide adequate nutrition and veterinary care
• Keep cats indoors when possible (especially at night)
• Tell your friends to spay/neuter their animals
• Make provisions in your will for who will take care of your animals if they should outlive you (never assume your family will! Too many of our cats have come into rescue after their owners have passed away and family member were unwiling to t care for their cats).
