Veterinary care is by far our largest expense, but it is also the most important. While some of our cats are surrendered from their personal owners in a state requiring little medical care, almost all cats are in need of some type of medical care such as shots, spay or neuter, or medication for upper respiratory infections, eye ulcers or urinary track infection. Purebred cats are very susceptible to health issues and the stress of a new environment is sometimes all it takes to put compromise not only their health, but the health of any and all cats in their new foster home. In some cases, these cats require expensive treatments to save their life and these are the cats that benefit the most from your generous gift.
